Tasting Notes: This intense, full-bodied red wine offers a complex bouquet of brandied cherries, dried plums, and notes of chocolate, espresso, and sweet spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. Produced using the traditional appassimento method where grapes are air-dried to concentrate flavors, the palate is powerful yet elegant, delivering ripe red and blue fruit flavors with hints of blood orange and fine, velvety tannins that lead to a long, persistent finish.
Estate History: Azienda Agricola Venturini is a family-owned estate located in San Floriano, a village within the historic Valpolicella Classico zone of Verona. Established in 1963 by grandfather Antonio, the winery has grown over three generations and is now managed by his grandchildren: Daniele oversees winemaking, Mirco manages the 12 hectares of southwest-facing vineyards, and Giuseppina handles the business operations. The family is dedicated to producing high-quality, estate-grown wines that express the unique character of their hillside vineyards and local traditions, using exclusively indigenous grape varieties like Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella.
