Tasting Notes: The Santa Vittoria Gavi opens with delicate floral notes, orchard fruit and almonds. On the palate, dry, round, with classic Gavi bitter touches too the weighty frame.
Estate History: Castello di Santa Vittoria lies in the steep, sandy hills of the Roero on the left bank of the Tanaro river, just opposite of the Langhe hills in the heart of Piemonte. The wines are produced at new, state-of-the-art cellars located in Località Guriot. Viticulturalist Angelo Rosso and enologist Nicola Fogliati are aided by the celebrated Piemontese winemaker Beppe Caviola, who was named Gambero Rosso’s 2002 enologist of the year, in crafting the delicious 2015 Santa Vittoria Barbaresco, a wine loaded with Piemontese charm and grace.
