Tasting Notes: The Nino Barraco Rosammare comes From Nino’s youngest vines of Nero d’Avola planted over sandy soils. The grapes are picked early, meaning the acid is high and alcohol low. It spent just a night on skins and rested in concrete until April, when it was bottled without any additions. With a hint of tannins and bright, tart fruit it screams for a plate of anchovies or some grilled sardines.
