Tasting Notes: The Marco Tinessa 'Ognostro' Bianco is a ‘natural’ skin-contact Fiano from 40-60-year-old vineyards located in Montemarano, Campania. Ripe pear, wild herbs, and a presense of wood-smoke and fresh-tilled soil all make this a compelling orange wine.
Estate History: Marco Tinessa, after forging a friendship with Frank Cornelissen of Etna fame, decided to create his own label. Growing grapes in Montemarano, long considered the soulful center of Taurasi, he named the estate O’gnostro, after a local term used for Aglianico.
