Tasting Notes: The Fattoria La Pupille Poggio Valente has hints of red and black fruit with a persistence of blackberry, marasca cherry, black plum with notes of tobacco, nutmeg, and forest floor. The palate is elegant and balanced with sweet and silky tannins. Excellent with the classic dishes of Maremma such as polenta with cinghiale. The estate covers more than 400 hectares, with 75 hectares planted to vine. Although the winery is not certified, farming practices are entirely organic.
