Tasting Notes: The Laherte Freres Blanc de Blancs Ultradition offers a lively, complex bouquet and palate defined by vibrant Chardonnay character. Expect aromas of crisp green apple, pear, and raw almond, interwoven with delicate notes of white flowers, chalky minerality, and a hint of warm, bready yeast from its time on lees. On the palate, the wine is energetic and taut, delivering a full-bodied experience with a zesty citrus core that leads to a beautifully incisive, long-lasting finish driven by pure minerality.
Estate History: Laherte Freres is a small, family-owned Champagne house with a history dating back to 1889, now managed by the seventh generation of the family, Aurélien Laherte. The estate is located in the Côteaux Sud d'Épernay, farming about 11 hectares across 10 villages, predominantly using organic and biodynamic practices. Aurélien is recognized as one of the region's most dynamic young producers, focusing on single-vineyard expressions, natural fermentations, and minimal intervention to produce pure, highly expressive, terroir-driven Champagnes that have garnered significant critical acclaim.
