Tasting Notes: The Illuminati Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has notes of dense red cherry coulis, mentholated herbs and tobacco on the nose. Tangy cherry, herbs, a touch of minerality with finely knit tannins. Pairs well with hearty, savory dishes such as beef brisket, Bolognese and smoked meats.
Estate History: The Illuminati winery started as a small winehouse called Fattoria Nico in 1890. Since the 1950’s, the Illuminati family decided to market their wine and thanks to the stewardship of Dino Illuminati, the winery continues to lead the way in experimentation and innovation.
