Tasting Notes: From famed Burgundy connoisseur Filippo Volpi comes this Sangiovese tailor-made to get wine geeks salivating. Over the course of a month, Volpi and his team conduct twenty different harvests. Each harvest goes through an open top, whole cluster micro-vinification in 500L tonneaux. After removing the seeds and stems, the harvests are blended together—first in tonneaux, then in concrete. This Sangiovese is decadent and bold with notes of ripe red fruit, smoke, leather, flint, and rich morello cherry.
