Tasting Notes: The Fontanafredda Langhe Bianco Viadelsale, a white wine blend of Arneis, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier is named for the famous “via del sale” which winds its way between the upper Langa and the Ligurian Sea where since the Middle Ages between passes and hairpin bends, merchants and farmers transited for trade by connecting Liguria to the Cuneo area and crossing into the Langa. The Langhe Bianco Via del Sale is a wine capable of overcoming borders by uniting the lower Langa thanks to Arneis, which gives sweetness, harmony and ready drinkability and the highest part of the Langa with Sauvignon, which gives structure and perfume and the Viognier, which gives body and elegance. A wine capable of aging for a long time, maintaining sapidity and minerality.
