Tasting Notes: The color of the Fontanafredda Derthona Timorasso is an intense straw yellow, consistent and clear. On the nose the bouquet is aromatic and reminiscent of exotic fruits, as well as white pulp fruit. Served chilled it is a great aperitif and at the table it is ideal with fish-based appetizers, seafood risotto and hard cheese.
Estate History: Among the splendid rolling hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, stands the beautiful Fontanafredda estate, which once belonged to King Vittorio Emanuele II who n turn gave it to Rosa Vercellana, a commoner with whom he had fallen madly in love. An ancient love story, kept alive by the modern Fontanafredda team, with particular attention to that desire to renew and improve that which has always distinguished the company, now a point of reference in the Langa area. Here, indeed the passion for wine, for the land and for tradition finds its most concrete expression.
