Tasting notes: Fico is a 100% Sangiovese wine that reflects the taste of the earth and exclusively reflects biodynamic practices. Aromas of bright sour cherry, dried oregano, and distinctive fig leaf.
Estate History: At 21 years of age, Filippo Corsini persuaded his father to lend him a portion of his family's Chianti Classico estate, close to an ancient fig tree (fico), and oversaw the entire production process of his wine in 2015. Filippo tragically passed away a year later, but his legacy and project remain: a small plot of Sangiovese in the that seeks to honor the land on which it grows, above all else. Today, Filippo’s family and friends continue to produce this wine in his honor, and have added a second wine called “Per Filo” from the same vineyard, made with the same philosophy.
