Tasting Notes: Cataldo Calabretta began bottling his wine with the 2012 vintage. Working plots of mostly Gaglioppo vines that range from 10 to 40 years old along with small amounts of Grenache, Ansonica, Malvasia and Greco Bianco. Cataldo is from a family of grape growers, and his vineyards are now certified organic. The rosato is 100% Gaglioppo and is a tad bit darker in color than usual. Expect crunchy fruit and savory acidity to go along with notes of passionfruit, green apple, and rhubarb.
