Tasting Notes: The Lunelli Montefalco Sagrantino Carapace is from 100% Sagrantino grapes. This powerhouse red wine opens with notes of blackberry and blueberries–typical of the variety–along with hints of cherries in brandy, carob and rose petals. Licorice and chocolate notes follow. Creamy on the palate, the finish is long and persistent, with typical tannins of the variety echoing the rich body.
