Tasting Notes: The Barbaresco Tre Stelle from Cascina delle Rose shows classic, elegant Barbaresco aromatic notes of orange peel, spice, mint, and roses. Rich, racy and supple, this gorgeous wine is ready to drink now or hold for another 10 years.
Estate History: Giovanna Rizzolio was one of the few women running a winery in the Langhe in the early 90’s, a pioneer for women winemakers in the region. She is the only one to release a Tre Stelle cru Barbaresco. Her sons Riccardo and Davide divide the winemaking and vineyard duties now. Located in the Rio Sordo Valley, this classic estate is organic, and sits right in front of the Rio Sordo cru with panoramic views of the Langhe. The family also runs an excellent bed and breakfast.
