Tasting Notes: The Fattoria Le Pupille Morellino di Scansano has intense notes of red and blue fruits, blueberry and fresh picked red cherry on the nose. Silky and fresh with well-balanced tannins on the palate. Pairs well with sauce-based first courses and excellent as a companion to an appetizer course as well. Morellino di Scansano, located in the Maremma region of Grosseto province, is known for its savory notes compared to the other wines from Toscana. While the origin of its name is unknown, some believe that it gets its name from the morello cherries that are grown in the area.
