The wines of Chianti Classico are some of our favorites from all of Italy. Produced in Toscana since the thirteenth century, the consortium for Chianti Classico reclaimed the name in the 1980s with the creation of the Chianti Classico DOCG, an increased regulation within the appellation, and elimination of superfluous blending (as a result, these wines must be made with at least 80% Sangiovese grapes). Recognizable by the Black Rooster symbol on the neck of the bottle or on the rear label, Eataly Vino is proud to have an impressive collection of the best Chianti Classico available.
